Hidden Gems Around The World
![For much of my life, freedom has meant jetting off on a whim...even when confined to a corporate desk job, I was always dreaming and planning my next escape. This year, the world has changed, and after 9 months in and out of lockdown, I realised freedom also means something closer to home. It got me thinking about the week I spent in the capital of the happiest country in the world, Helsinki. 🇫🇮 A city that has recently been named "The New City of the Free”, where freedom means creating a life without compromise. Somewhere you can be creative, and are encouraged to learn and grow. A city that’s safe and values work-life balance, without compromising on nature. 🌲 A city where 40% is covered in green spaces, swimming spots, beaches, and islands, where the air is clean, the water is safe and its easy to include nature in your daily life. A city where you have the freedom to breathe, something I sorely miss right now. Visiting Helsinki might not be possible for a lot of us right now, but we can all embrace the Finnish lifestyle and incorporate nature where we can.
